Triple Sport Athlete
Chloe, one of Australia’s triple sport elite athletes, began her career in WNBL, later achieving Olympic Gold in Rugby 7’s. Recognised with an OAM and Shawn Mackay Medal, she transitioned to AFLW, showcasing her talent at Carlton and GWS Giants. A resilient competitor, she overcame setbacks, including missing the Tokyo Games due to injury. Chloe is also a qualified physiotherapist turned media personality, Chloe hosts ‘The Female Athlete Project’ podcast. Her books, ‘Girls Don’t Play Sport’ and ‘The A to Z of Who I Could Be,’ delve into the challenges and achievements of female athletes, contributing to the growing narrative of women in sports.

Nazeem Hussain
Actor / Presenter / Comedian
Nazeem Hussain has fast become one of the biggest stars of Australian comedy, and a much loved television and radio personality. He’s perhaps best known as the creator and star of his TV show, ‘Legally Brown’, airing for two seasons on SBS Television in 2013 & 2014, which was nominated for Most Outstanding Comedy at the 2015 Logie Awards. A regular on international stages, Nazeem has performed around the globe, including sellout seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, London’s Soho Theatre, all across New Zealand, Paris, Belgium, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US (including opening for Dave Chappelle in New York City).

Laura Ford
Managing Director, Indeed Australia
Laura Ford is the Managing Director for Indeed Australia and New Zealand. Laura joined the business as Indeed’s first employee in the region in 2013. She has spent the last ten years building and developing high performance teams and driving product adoption within direct & indirect channels. Laura has 17 years of experience in the recruitment and online advertising industry and prior to Indeed, held leadership roles in Yahoo! and Michael Page.

Callam Pickering
Senior APAC Economist, Indeed
Callam Pickering is a senior economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab, joining Indeed in May 2017. Previously he was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia focusing on household spending and house prices. He also worked as the economic editor at online publications the Business Spectator and Eureka Report, where he covered economic issues relating to Australia.

Lauren Anderson
Talent Strategy Advisor, Indeed Australia
As Indeed Australia’s Talent Strategy Advisor, Lauren works with businesses to innovate traditional recruitment processes, get creative with employer branding and prioritise diversity and equity in the workplace. Ali Smith
Head of People and Culture, Defence Force Recruiting
An executive leader with over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sector, Ali Smith is fascinated by human behaviour and neuroscience, with experience in leading enterprise level organisational development, human resources and transformational change teams. With a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology, Ali enjoys creating senior leadership development programs for government agencies based on neuroscience and behavioural design theory and evidence.

Gene Crowe
Managing Director, Defence Force Recruiting
Gene Crowe is a senior executive with multinational experience in Talent Acquisition, Operations, Strategy and Product Management. Working in the recruitment industry for over a decade, Gene is passionate about providing instrumental leadership to teams across the globe, and continuously expanding his learnings by gaining certificates in Design Thinking, Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing, and more.

Rachael Townsley
Marketing Director, Indeed Australia
With over 14 years of marketing experience, Rachael Townsley has worked for some of the world’s most recognisable international brands in the Entertainment, Tech and Media & Advertising space. She recently joined the world’s #1 job site, Indeed, as the Marketing Director of Australia, where she is responsible for leading her team to drive growth for job seekers, small and medium sized businesses and enterprise organisations.

The Metropolis entrance is on the exterior of the building opposite Quay West Suites. Guests requiring wheelchair accessibility can locate the elevator immediately to the right of the main entrance. The Metropolis is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and convenient entry for all visitors.

There are no parking facilities onsite. The closest car park is the Wilson Car Park Southgate. You can book your parking directly via Wilson Parking website.
However, public transportation is strongly recommended.

Metropolis Events is located on the top level of Southgate Melbourne on the banks of the Yarra River. Indeed FutureWorks Melbourne will be in The Aviary Room. The entrance for The Aviary Room is located on the Upper Level of the Southgate complex.
The best way to access the venue is either by public transportation or ride share.
Getting there by taxi/ride share:
- The closest drop-off point is between Quay West Suites and Hamer Hall on Southgate Avenue.
- Walk towards the Yarra River and proceed up the spiral staircase to the top. At the top of the staircase, enter the Southgate complex (you will enter on the Upper Level).
- The escalators to Metropolis Events are directly in front of you, between Miyako Restaurant and Blue Train.
Getting there by train:
- Exit via Flinders Walk (Yarra River side of the station)
- Cross the Southbank pedestrian bridge
- Enter the Southgate complex and proceed up the escalators or lift to the “Upper Level”.
- The escalators to Metropolis are situated on this level, between Miyako Restaurant and Blue Train.

We will be accepting registrations (depending on availability) on-site at Metropolis Events on 22 February. However, it is strongly recommended that attendees secure their spot ahead of time as in-person attendance may be at capacity.
